California, USA — A SpaceX capsule carrying astronauts from India, Poland, Hungary, and the United States safely returned to Earth on Tuesday, marking the successful completion of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4).
After 20 days aboard the International Space Station (ISS), the crew splashed down off the coast of California.
The capsule undocked from the ISS at 7:15 a.m. EST on Monday, initiating a 22.5-hour journey back to Earth. The crew, which included astronauts from four different countries, spent their time conducting various scientific experiments aimed at advancing space research.
Axiom Space, the company behind the mission, coordinated the splashdown with assistance from NASA and other international space agencies. Recovery teams were quickly on site to ensure the safe return of the astronauts.
