The Woodlands, Texas– The Houston chapter of UNIFFIED SAFE-EP—a partnership between the United Federation of Filipino American Educators Incorporated (UNIFFIED) and the Society for the Advancement of Filipino Educators and Education Professionals (SAFE-EP)—celebrated its 5th year with a Daisy Anniversary and Thanksgiving Potluck Luncheon on Nov. 22 at SHSU The Woodlands Center.
From morning to afternoon, Filipino educators came together to enjoy food, showcase talents, and honor their journeys of resilience. The event featured a vibrant talent show and meaningful reflections that highlighted the pride and unity of the Filipino teaching community.
Lawyer Aileen Ligot Dizon applauded the chapter’s new officers for their commitment, encouraging them to use their “teacher voice” to lead with confidence, compassion, and style—both in the classroom and in the community.
The celebration also welcomed new members and strengthened connections among Filipino educators across Texas.
