WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump announced plans to introduce the “Gold Card” program, a fast-track visa initiative aimed at attracting wealthy individuals to the United States through expedited visa processing in exchange for a minimum $1 million investment.

Set to launch in the coming weeks, the program targets affluent entrepreneurs, investors, and prominent figures who can contribute to the U.S. economy. White House officials said the initiative seeks to encourage foreign investments, job creation, and innovation, positioning the U.S. as a competitive destination for global business leaders.

Applicants must demonstrate significant financial contributions to qualify for the Gold Card. The program represents a shift in U.S. immigration policy, emphasizing economic contributions over traditional criteria such as family reunification or asylum.

The Trump administration views the Gold Card as part of broader immigration reforms focused on aligning policy with national economic priorities. Further details on application procedures and eligibility criteria are expected ahead of the program’s rollout.
