WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald Trump has authorized the declassification of remaining files related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.
The assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, has long been the subject of debate and investigation.
Despite the Warren Commission’s conclusion that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, many continue to question the official account. The release of additional files could either clarify details or prompt further inquiries.
Similarly, the killings of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968 continue to be points of historical and public interest.
Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles on June 5, while Martin Luther King Jr. was shot in Memphis on April 4.
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) will oversee the declassification and public release of the documents.
The declassification process will proceed with caution to ensure no sensitive or national security-related information is disclosed.
