WASHINGTON, D.C.–President Donald Trump has announced the replacement of General Charles “CQ” Brown as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, less than two years into his four-year term.

The new Chairman will be Air Force Lieutenant General Dan Caine, who brings extensive military experience to the position.

General Brown, a distinguished figure with over four decades of service, was recognized by President Trump on his Truth Social platform for his dedication to the nation.

However, Trump did not specify whether Brown’s departure was voluntary or the result of a dismissal, though rumors have circulated suggesting the latter.

At the time of the announcement, General Brown was on duty at the U.S. southern border, though the specifics of his visit and its significance remain unclear. This highlights the demanding nature of his role.

Lieutenant General Caine’s appointment has attracted attention, as he is expected to provide strategic guidance on military affairs.

This change in leadership is part of a broader series of military appointments that could reshape the administration’s approach to defense policy.
