MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas head coach Tim Cone announced on Saturday that he cannot influence the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) schedule, which presents challenges for the national team’s preparation.
Cone explained that the PBA’s busy calendar limits players’ availability for Gilas training sessions, affecting the team’s readiness for international competitions. He noted that the packed PBA schedule has historically required adjustments from both players and coaches.
Despite these scheduling conflicts, Cone said he remains focused on maximizing Gilas Pilipinas’ performance with the resources and time available.
