HOUSTON, Texas — Houston sneaker and apparel store Eight One reported two overnight thefts this week, with three unidentified suspects stealing an estimated $7,000 to $10,000 in hats, sneakers, and electronics, according to store representatives and surveillance video.

Employees said the first theft occurred during closed hours, when the shop was locked for the night.

Security footage shows three individuals moving through sales and storage areas, selecting merchandise from shelves and displays, and taking electronic items used for store operations.

The store conducted an internal inventory review and estimated losses, which included sneakers, hats, and equipment. Staff reported physical damage to doors and fixtures, which were later repaired, and implemented temporary security measures after the incident.

Representatives said the thieves returned for a second overnight theft at the same location. Store cameras captured individuals removing items from shelves and high-value areas. Management has not released a final estimate for losses from the second incident but said the thefts affected merchandise levels and disrupted normal operations.
