Sen. Bam honors Ninoy Aquino Day: ‘The fight continues’

Senator Bam Aquino led the commemoration of Ninoy Aquino Day on Aug. 21 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila, marking the 43rd anniversary of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.’s assassination.

Senator Aquino paid tribute to his uncle’s legacy, recalling the late senator’s well-known statement, “The Filipino is worth dying for.” He emphasized the ongoing relevance of Ninoy’s message in the country’s pursuit of justice and democratic ideals.

He also shared personal memories of visiting Ninoy during his imprisonment under Martial Law, reflecting on his family’s long-standing role in Philippine political history.
