AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Wildlife Rescue is requesting donations to support its efforts after receiving more than 200 animals displaced by recent severe flooding in Central Texas.

The organization reported that heavy rains and flooding have forced wildlife from their natural habitats into areas where they face increased risks. Staff members are currently rehabilitating a range of species, including birds, reptiles, and mammals.

Volunteers have been mobilized to assist with feeding and caring for the displaced animals. Austin Wildlife Rescue emphasized the urgent need for financial contributions to cover the rising demand for resources and medical treatments.

Authorities have issued safety warnings and evacuation notices in the hardest-hit areas, advising residents to stay informed about weather updates and road closures.

The rescue group encourages the public to visit its website for donation details. In addition to monetary support, the organization accepts physical donations such as blankets, food, and cleaning supplies to aid ongoing operations.

Community members have responded with donations and volunteer offers to support the rescue efforts. Local officials continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates aimed at protecting both residents and wildlife.

Austin Wildlife Rescue reaffirmed its commitment to rehabilitating affected animals and returning them to their natural environments.
