HOUSTON, Texas — The Texas Medical Board has suspended the license of a respiratory care practitioner pending an investigation for murder charges.

Scott Goble, a 54-year-old certified respiratory care practitioner from Frost, Texas, has been charged with murder in the death of Heriberto “Eddie” Ramirez, a 38-year-old business owner from Tyler.

The incident occurred at 302 Rice Road in Tyler, where police found Ramirez with a gunshot wound. Despite emergency medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses reported that a dispute between Goble and Ramirez escalated into a physical altercation, leading to the shooting. Goble was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.

Judge Reeves Jackson set Goble’s bond at $1 million, which was later posted, allowing for his release while awaiting trial. The decision to grant bond has sparked debate within the community, with some expressing concerns about public safety.

The Texas Medical Board responded by suspending Goble’s practitioner’s license, citing the severity of the charges. The suspension prevents Goble from practicing until the investigation is complete. The board emphasized its commitment to maintaining public trust in the healthcare profession.

Ramirez was a prominent business owner in Tyler, known for his entrepreneurial spirit and community involvement. His death has left a significant impact on the local community, with friends and family mourning his loss. Memorials have been set up at the site of the incident, and community members have called for justice.

Goble’s family and supporters maintain his innocence and advocate for a fair trial.
