Houston, TX — The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Houston hosted a diplomatic reception on Monday, October 6, to celebrate the 114th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
The event drew a diverse audience of diplomats, business leaders, community advocates, and public officials who came together to honor Taiwan’s national heritage and strengthen global partnerships.
The annual celebration, which marks the founding of the Republic of China on October 10, 1911, served as a platform to highlight Taiwan’s enduring values and its commitment to international cooperation.
The Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Texas (PACCTX) joined the gathering as part of its continued efforts to foster cross-cultural engagement and economic collaboration. PACCTX representatives engaged with fellow community leaders and emphasized the importance of cultivating strong relationships between Taiwan and Filipino-American communities in Texas.
“Grateful for the chance to deepen ties, celebrate shared values, and advance collaboration in trade, culture, and community,” said PACCTX State President Atty. Aileen Ligot Dizon.
TECO Houston welcomed guests with warm hospitality and reaffirmed its dedication to building bridges through diplomacy, culture, and shared values. The evening featured ceremonial speeches, cultural performances, and vibrant exchanges among attendees.
PACCTX strengthened ties with Taiwanese representatives and regional partners during the event. The Chamber continues to seek opportunities that promote economic collaboration, cultural exchange, and unified community development.
