FORT WORTH, Texas — Filming for the Paramount+ series “Lioness” will temporarily close portions of University Drive in Fort Worth’s Cultural District this week.
University Drive from West Lancaster to West Freeway, along with part of South University Drive, will be closed from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday for the production of driving, stunt, and collision scenes.
“Lioness,” created by Taylor Sheridan, follows CIA operative Joe (Zoe Saldaña) as she trains female operatives to infiltrate and get close to high-profile terrorist targets. The show’s second season was partially filmed in Fort Worth in March 2025, while season three is currently in production, with some scenes recently shot in Dallas.
Other cast members include Nicole Kidman, Morgan Freeman, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, and Michael Kelly, among others.
Fort Worth police will manage traffic, and residents and businesses will retain access to their properties during filming. Normal traffic flow will resume once production concludes.
