SAN ANTONIO, Texas — San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle has been named the NBA Rookie of the Year for the 2024–25 season, the league announced Tuesday.
Castle secured the award over fellow finalists Zaccharie Risacher of the Orlando Magic and Jaylen Wells of the Sacramento Kings.
Castle is the second consecutive Spurs player to receive the honor, following the team’s emphasis on developing young talent.
The award is determined by a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters from the United States and Canada, based on players’ on-court performance, team impact, and overall potential.
