Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) will invest $10 million to convert the organization’s former practice facility into the Spurs Impact Center, a community hub set to deliver workforce training, wellness support, and educational services for San Antonio residents.
The project positions SS&E as an early mover within the NBA in establishing a permanent space dedicated to community impact. Renovations began in late 2024.
The former training site—once used by several legendary Spurs players—will now function as a public resource with programs designed to uplift underserved groups.
Spurs Give, the charitable arm of SS&E, is leading the effort and is currently open to inquiries from organizations interested in hosting programs at the center.
The Impact Center is planned as a flexible space capable of evolving with shifting needs in workforce development, mental health access, and educational support. The facility will also feature wellness and community engagement areas.
SS&E framed the effort as a continuation of its long-standing mission to leverage sports for social good. The center is expected to serve as the anchor of SS&E’s local outreach work and has been welcomed with enthusiasm from residents who see a growing need for accessible services.
Completion of the first renovation phase this fall will mark the start of programming and introduce a new chapter for the site as it transitions from athletic use to a public-facing community resource.
