SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The San Antonio Spurs, along with 40 other sports teams, have launched the “Texas Sport for Healing Fund” to aid flood relief efforts in Central Texas.

The initiative, led by Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) in partnership with the San Antonio Area Foundation (SAF), aims to provide both immediate and long-term support for communities affected by severe flooding in the region.

The fund is supported by a national auction featuring over 150 pieces of rare sports memorabilia, contributed by more than 80 teams and organizations.

In addition to the Spurs, teams such as the NBA, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, and Houston Rockets are part of the fundraising effort. Each organization is committed to helping raise funds, which will be distributed to local communities in need.

The auction also includes exclusive music memorabilia and local cultural experiences, broadening its appeal to a diverse audience. Organizers hope that the combined influence of these teams will generate substantial resources to assist with relief efforts.

The Texas Sport for Healing Fund aims to address both immediate needs, such as shelter and basic supplies, as well as long-term recovery efforts to rebuild affected areas.

As the auction continues, the participating teams are encouraging fans to support the relief effort. They see this as an ongoing commitment to help rebuild and foster resilience in the affected communities.

The Texas Sport for Healing Fund aims to bring both financial support and hope to those recovering from the floods, leveraging the collective resources of the sports community to make a meaningful impact in Central Texas.
