SpaceX transported four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday, completing the journey in 15 hours.
The crew includes representatives from the United States, Russia, and Japan. They launched aboard a SpaceX capsule from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
The astronauts will remain aboard the ISS for a six-month rotation. They are replacing a crew that has been on the station since March.
NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui, and Russian astronaut Oleg Platonov make up the newly arrived team. Each member had previously been assigned to separate missions before joining this one.
The crew currently on the ISS is scheduled to return to Earth aboard a SpaceX capsule as early as Wednesday.
Each astronaut had initially been assigned to different missions prior to this launch.
