The Port of Singapore has been awarded both the “Best Global Seaport” and “Best Seaport in Asia” titles at the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Awards held in Hong Kong on September 3.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), this marks the fourth time Singapore has secured the global seaport accolade and the 37th time it has claimed the top Asian seaport award.

MPA chief executive Ang Wee Keong stated, “These awards highlight the collaborative efforts of our industry stakeholders, international partners, research community, and unions.”

He added, “We remain dedicated to advancing Singapore as a leading global hub port and international maritime center, striving to be a preferred port of call.”

The annual awards are organized by the freight and logistics publication “Asia Cargo News” to honor outstanding logistics and supply chain service providers for their service excellence, innovation, and reliability.

The winners are chosen by over 15,000 readers of the publication who nominate and vote for companies in various sectors.
