MANILA, Philippines — Veteran actress and singer Sharon Cuneta denied rumors that she used Ozempic, a diabetes medication increasingly popular for weight loss, to achieve her slimmer figure.

In an interview with journalist Karmina Constantino on her YouTube channel, Cuneta clarified that she has never used Ozempic or similar drugs. She cited her heart condition as a key reason she avoids taking unnecessary health risks.

“I can’t afford to take chances with my body,” Cuneta said, addressing the speculation surrounding her recent weight loss.

Ozempic, which is administered via injection, has gained traction in Hollywood and online as a weight loss aid. However, Cuneta emphasized her commitment to safer, long-term methods focused on health and well-being.

Her public statement comes amid ongoing discussions about celebrity weight loss trends and the off-label use of medications for aesthetic purposes. Cuneta said she chose to speak out to clarify her position and promote responsible health decisions.
