SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A San Antonio resident has won a $3 million prize after purchasing a winning Texas Lottery scratch-off ticket at AR Novelties & Service, a retail location on the city’s southeast side, lottery officials announced this week.

The winning ticket came from the $750 Million Winner’s Circle game, one of the higher-paying scratch-off options offered by the Texas Lottery.

The ticket was sold at AR Novelties & Service, a business located in a commercial area known for its mix of local stores and services.

In accordance with Texas Lottery policy, the identity of the winner has not been disclosed. State law allows winners to remain anonymous to protect their privacy and safety.

The Texas Lottery was established in 1992 and offers a range of games, including scratch-off tickets and draw games. Proceeds from the lottery support public education and veterans’ programs across the state.

The $750 Million Winner’s Circle game requires players to scratch off ticket panels to match numbers or symbols in order to win cash prizes. The $3 million prize is among the top-tier rewards available through the game.

The Texas Lottery promotes responsible gambling and encourages participants to play within their financial means. Officials regularly remind the public that lottery games are intended for entertainment purposes.
