Russia launched a series of drone and missile attacks on Kyiv, Ukraine, on Saturday morning, resulting in the deaths of at least four people.

Ukrainian sources reported that 39 Shahed drones, along with other simulated drones and four ballistic missiles, were deployed in the assault.

The attack caused widespread panic in Kyiv as the Ukrainian capital once again became a target of Russian military action.

In response, Ukrainian forces launched strikes on industrial sites in Russia, setting several locations ablaze. Ukrainian authorities have confirmed the attacks, though specific details on the extent of the damage remain unclear.

The ongoing conflict, which began in 2022, has resulted in numerous casualties and widespread destruction on both sides.

Diplomatic efforts continue, but a resolution to the conflict remains elusive as both Russia and Ukraine maintain firm positions.

In Kyiv, emergency services responded swiftly to the attack, providing assistance and medical care to the injured.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the Russian assault, reaffirming Ukraine’s commitment to defending its sovereignty.

Russia, meanwhile, continues to justify its military actions as defensive, accusing Ukraine of provoking the escalation.
