Actress Ruffa Gutierrez on Friday reported that her father, veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez, is in stable condition following a spinal procedure in Singapore, where doctors continue to monitor his recovery and administer antibiotics.
Gutierrez said Eddie underwent the spine treatment earlier this week, with physicians keeping him under close observation to track his response and ensure his vital signs remain stable. Doctors prescribed antibiotics as part of his post-operative care.
She confirmed that the family is coordinating with the Singapore medical team regarding Eddie’s treatment and recovery timeline.
Eddie remains hospitalized while continuing his course of antibiotics and other prescribed medications. Ruffa Gutierrez asked followers and colleagues for continued prayers and support for her father’s recovery.
Eddie Gutierrez, a veteran actor in Philippine film and television, has appeared in numerous projects over several decades.
As of Friday, she reported no complications from the procedure and said Eddie’s condition remains stable under medical supervision in Singapore.
