MANILA, Philippines — Singer Rico Blanco will star alongside actress Sue Ramirez in the romantic comedy film “Project B,” marking Blanco’s first lead acting role, according to Regal Entertainment.
The production company announced the project on Thursday through its social media page, sharing images from the film’s story conference.
Regal said the film follows Ramirez’s character, described as a driven, type-A woman with a structured life plan that includes finding the “ideal baby daddy,” while Blanco plays her romantic interest.
The film explores modern relationships, career goals, and family-building themes, and is described as a romantic comedy inspired by early 2000s films reimagined for a modern audience.
The cast also includes Alice Dixson, Danita Paner, and Yasser Marta. The film is directed by Eric Quizon.
