Ray Parks Jr. returned to B.League duty for Osaka Evessa on Sunday, May 19, 2025, just days after helping Gilas Pilipinas win the men’s basketball gold medal at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, as he logged minutes in Evessa’s 75-73 loss to the Sendai 89ers at Ookini Arena Maishima in Osaka, Japan.

Parks flew from the SEA Games host country to Japan shortly after Gilas Pilipinas completed its gold-medal campaign and joined Osaka Evessa in time for the home game against Sendai.

Coaches listed Parks as active for Osaka, and he entered the game as part of the team’s perimeter rotation against the 89ers.

Officials recorded the final score at 75-73 in favor of Sendai after Osaka failed to convert on its last offensive possession.

League organizers included the game in the regular B.League schedule for the 2024–2025 season, and they counted the result toward both clubs’ standings.

Team staff cleared Parks to play after his return from national team duty, and he traveled under the schedule coordinated by Gilas Pilipinas and Osaka Evessa.

Gilas Pilipinas coaches used Parks as a key wing player during the 33rd Southeast Asian Games men’s basketball tournament, and they credited the squad’s performance for securing the gold medal for the Philippines.

The B.League office scheduled Osaka’s game against Sendai during the period immediately following the SEA Games, and the timing required Parks to transition quickly from international play back to club competition.

Sendai’s coaching staff prepared for the possibility of facing Parks and adjusted its defensive schemes to account for Osaka’s wing options.

Game officials enforced standard B.League rules throughout the match at Ookini Arena Maishima, and they confirmed the result after reviewing the final sequence.
