CENTRAL TEXAS — Search efforts for more than 100 individuals reported missing following severe flooding in Ingram, Texas, were temporarily suspended due to heavy rain disrupting rescue operations.

The flooding began after intense rainfall caused rising water levels that swept through the region, leading to significant damage and numerous people unaccounted for. Ingram, situated in Kendall County, has seen homes, roads, and infrastructure severely impacted.

Authorities paused the search missions to protect the safety of first responders amid worsening weather conditions. Despite the official halt, community volunteers continue assisting affected families and participating in relief efforts.

Emergency teams remain on high alert, prepared to resume their operations as soon as conditions improve. Local government agencies coordinate closely to manage the evolving crisis and maintain residents’ safety.

Officials are still verifying the exact number and identities of missing persons, collecting information from families and community members. Shelters and community centers have been established to support displaced residents.

Forecasters warn of continued rainfall in the coming days, which may cause further flooding and delay ongoing search and rescue efforts. Residents have been urged to stay cautious, adhere to safety advisories, and monitor weather updates.
