MANILA, Philippines– Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. confirmed that there are no discussions within the PNP about withdrawing support from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Nartatez assured that such conversations have not taken place among the staff or commanders of the PNP.
He stated that there is no justification for removing President Marcos, who was elected by majority vote.
Nartatez highlighted that the morale within the PNP remains relatively high.
He addressed concerns following statements by Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. regarding calls to oust President Marcos amidst ongoing protests.
