The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) confirmed on Monday that China launched a rocket, raising warnings of possible debris falling near Tubbataha Reef.
Projected debris zones were identified approximately 29 nautical miles from Puerto Princesa and around 20 nautical miles from Tubbataha Reef Natural Park.
The launch took place at 10:42 a.m. (PhST) from the Hainan International Commercial Launch Center in Wenchang, China.
Authorities have issued advisories for nearby areas, urging residents and vessels to exercise caution. PhilSA continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
