The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) on Monday identified possible impact locations and issued an advisory after debris from a Chinese rocket launch that day may have fallen within Philippine archipelagic waters near Palawan.
PhilSA stated that tracking data showed two potential drop zones for unburned rocket debris located approximately 22 nautical miles from Puerto Princesa, Palawan, and about 14 nautical miles from Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park.
PhilSA said that, despite these projections, falling debris from the Chinese rocket still posed potential risks to maritime activity within the designated drop zones.
PhilSA urged the public not to retrieve or handle any metallic objects or fragments that may wash ashore or float in the water and to immediately report such findings to local authorities.
