The Philippine Embassy in Beijing announced that eVisa applications for Chinese travelers will open in November 2025.

The eVisa aims to make entry into the Philippines easier for Chinese visitors on short-term stays. This marks a major change from the previous visa process, which required a more extensive application procedure.

The online system will allow applicants to submit their documents digitally, streamlining and speeding up the process. The embassy confirmed that the platform will go live in November, though the exact date has yet to be announced.

The eVisa will cover travel purposes such as tourism, business, and family visits. According to the embassy, the initiative supports the Philippine government’s goal to enhance tourism and strengthen bilateral relations with China.

Chinese travelers can access the eVisa portal through the official website of the Philippine Embassy in Beijing. Applicants are advised to prepare the necessary documents in advance.

Officials expect the new system to shorten processing times and improve convenience for travelers. The embassy also assured that the platform will include strict security features to protect applicant data.

Philippine tourism authorities anticipate an increase in Chinese visitor arrivals following the eVisa rollout. The embassy will release detailed application guidelines and requirements in the coming weeks.
