Philippine Consulate General joins Samar Leyte Texas Gala in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas — The Philippine Consulate General in Houston, led through Consul General Gunther Sales, joined Samar Leyte Texas’ (SLT) annual gala “Beyond 2025” on Saturday to celebrate the organization’s community outreach and philanthropic programs in the Philippines and Texas.

In his remarks, Sales commended SLT for its humanitarian, medical, and dental missions, as well as its educational support initiatives that benefit disadvantaged Filipinos.

He reaffirmed the Consulate’s partnership with the group in advancing its mission and strengthening the presence of the Filipino community in Texas.

During the program, SLT’s Board recognized Chairman and CEO Dr. Clemente Logronio Jr. for his leadership and contributions that helped expand the organization and strengthen community-building efforts.

SLT is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes goodwill through cultural exchanges and mobilizes resources to provide medical, relief, rehabilitation, educational, and livelihood services to vulnerable populations.
