The Philippine-American Chamber of Commerce of Texas (PACCTX) is set to mark a major milestone with its 15th Anniversary Gala and State Awards on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 6:00 PM CST at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, TX. This much-anticipated event brings together key leaders, business professionals, and community members to celebrate the Chamber’s contributions to both the Filipino-American and broader Texas communities over the last decade and a half.

The evening promises a blend of entertainment, thought-provoking speeches, and the recognition of individuals and organizations that have made significant impacts within their fields. Ner De Leon, Albert & Jennifer Castillo, Roy Rose, and Sarah Toon & Kool & the Gang’s Arturo Velasquez are among the talented performers who will provide the evening’s entertainment, ensuring that guests will be captivated and energized throughout the night. These performances highlight the diversity of talents within the community and underscore the cultural vibrancy that PACCTX continues to promote.

The event will also honor outstanding contributions to various sectors. Awards such as the Outstanding Professional Award, Outstanding Public Servant Award, and Outstanding Filipino Humanitarian Award will be presented to deserving individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields. These awards celebrate not only professional success but also community service and humanitarian efforts that have positively impacted the Filipino-American community in Texas and beyond.

Keynote speakers for the gala include some of the most respected figures in public service and diplomacy. Jane Nelson, the Texas Secretary of State, will be delivering a keynote address. With a career that spans more than 30 years in public service, Nelson is well-known for her contributions to public education, healthcare, and fiscal responsibility in Texas. Her participation in the event underscores the importance of public service and civic engagement, themes that resonate with the mission of PACCTX.

In addition, Hon. Gunther Emil Sales, the Consul General of the Philippines based in Houston, will also be in attendance. Sales, who assumed his role in July 2024, has been instrumental in strengthening ties between the Philippines and the United States, particularly in areas like trade, diplomacy, and community support. His presence will further emphasize the growing influence and role of the Filipino-American community in Texas, as well as the deepening bilateral relationships between the two countries.

The 15th Anniversary Gala also provides an important networking opportunity for attendees. Business professionals, community leaders, and public servants will have the chance to connect, share ideas, and forge new partnerships that could have long-lasting effects on both the business and cultural landscapes of Texas.

With a lineup of distinguished guests, entertainers, and awardees, the PACCTX 15th Anniversary Gala and State Awards promises to be a night of celebration, inspiration, and recognition. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness history in the making as PACCTX celebrates its remarkable journey and looks forward to continuing its mission of fostering strong business and community ties.
