Nicolas Torre III takes over as new PNP chief
Police Major General Nicolas Torre III, known for leading the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte, has been appointed as the new chief of the Philippine National Police. Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin announced the appointment, while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. named Darlene Berberabe as the new Solicitor General, replacing Menardo Guevarra. Meanwhile, expelled Negros Oriental 3rd District Representative Arnolfo Teves Jr. has been turned over to Philippine authorities following his departure from Timor Leste.
