MANILA, Philippines– Scottie Thompson led Barangay Ginebra to a 105-85 win over Converge in the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals on Thursday, Dec. 25, at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, recording a triple-double in points, rebounds, and assists.

Thompson helped control the game’s tempo on both ends of the floor and created scoring opportunities for his teammates, contributing to Ginebra’s early lead and sustained 20-point advantage. Converge struggled to contain his playmaking and Ginebra’s balanced offense.

After the game, Thompson left the court without celebrating his individual performance. Coaches managed his minutes to maintain the lead before rotating other players in the final minutes.

The victory moves Barangay Ginebra closer to advancing in the Philippine Cup playoffs, while Converge will need to address offensive and defensive gaps in future games.
