PARAÑAQUE CITY — The Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) received the Best Sustainability Initiatives Award for 2025 from the Governance Commission for Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GCG), recognizing the agency’s efforts to integrate sustainability values and responsible practices across its programs, services, and internal operations.

The GCG, which serves as the central policy-making and regulatory body for GOCCs, presented the award during its 2025 GCG Awards Ceremony, which gathered officials from various state-owned and -controlled entities.

Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, who also chairs the Pag-IBIG Fund Board, accepted the award on behalf of the agency. Aliling said the recognition reflects the fund’s commitment to responsible governance, public service, and embedding sustainability across its operations.

He added that the award affirms Pag-IBIG Fund’s alignment with national development goals and the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., emphasizing accountability, operational efficiency, and sustainable nation-building.

Pag-IBIG Fund officials said the agency continues integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its housing finance programs, savings mobilization, and internal management systems as part of ongoing modernization and reform efforts.

The DHSUD exercises policy oversight and coordinates with the fund on programs supporting national housing and urban development objectives.
