MANILA, Philippines– Actor Oyo Boy Sotto said in a recent interview in the Philippines that he lost money earlier in his career because he used substances and engaged in other vices that affected his finances and personal life.

Sotto said he spent a large portion of his earnings on vices when he was younger in the entertainment industry. He stated that his substance use and lifestyle choices led him to mismanage his finances and disregard savings.

He explained that he recognized the consequences of these choices only after realizing how much money he had lost. He said the experience became a turning point.

Sotto recounted that he later decided to change his habits and address his substance use. He said support from his family and his faith contributed to his decision to pursue these changes.

He noted that he now manages his finances and personal health more carefully. He encouraged younger people in show business and the public to avoid similar mistakes.

Sotto confirmed that he currently focuses on his family, work, and well-being. He continues to work as an actor in the Philippine entertainment industry while maintaining the lifestyle changes he adopted after his earlier struggles.
