Houston Police Department has released footage of a police cruiser striking and killing 41-year-old woman who attempted to cross the street at Antoine Drive on Sept. 19 .
The footage shows the police vehicle hitting Desiree Pool, leading to her immediate death.
According to the police department, an officer was driving the cruiser involved in the incident. The release of the video came after pressure from the public and the family demanding transparency regarding the accident.
The police department has stated that the footage was reviewed as part of an ongoing investigation.
