Frisco, Texas — Universal Studios will open the North Texas Universal Kids Theme Park in 2026, offering a family-focused attraction featuring seven themed areas based on popular movies and television shows.

The park will spotlight characters from DreamWorks Animation, including Shrek, Puss in Boots, Trolls, and Gabby’s Dollhouse. Fans of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants and Illumination’s Minions will also find dedicated areas, along with a Jurassic World-themed zone.

Designed as a family-centric destination, the park will feature interactive attractions, rides, and educational experiences aimed at engaging children and their families.

Frisco, part of the rapidly growing Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, provides a strategic location for the park, offering easy access for regional visitors and tourists. Universal Studios anticipates that the park will boost local tourism, generate jobs, and support nearby businesses and the hospitality industry.

As the opening approaches, Universal Studios will release more details about attractions, amenities, and promotional events.

The North Texas Universal Kids Theme Park represents a major expansion in Universal’s portfolio, offering an exciting new destination for family entertainment in Texas.
