New names join Filipinas lineup for ASEAN Women’s tourney

Philippine women’s national football team head coach Mark Torcaso has announced the addition of seven new players to the squad for the upcoming ASEAN Women’s Championship, scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 6 to 19, 2023.

Among the new call-ups are youth players Isabella Alamo, Tea Pidding, and Lyka Cuenco. Also joining the roster are Jaycee DeFazio, Azumi Oka, Aaliyah Schinaman, and Adelaide Wyrzynski.

The additions aim to bolster the Filipinas as they prepare to defend their title in the regional tournament.

The ASEAN Women’s Championship is a key competition for national teams across Southeast Asia and serves as a platform for showcasing emerging football talent in the region. Matches will be held at multiple venues across Vietnam.

The Filipinas will look to maintain their strong regional performance under the guidance of Coach Torcaso, who continues to develop the team’s depth and competitiveness ahead of international fixtures.
