LOS ANGELES — Netflix confirmed Monday that Emily in Paris has been renewed for a sixth season.
The streaming service shared the announcement on social media with a clip of lead actress Lily Collins blowing out a “six” candle on a croissant, followed by a shot of the Eiffel Tower, signaling that the series will return to Paris.
Season five ended with Emily Cooper, played by Collins, ending her relationship with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) while leaving the status of her relationship with ex-boyfriend Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) unresolved. Collins said in a Netflix Tudum interview that Emily’s goodbye to Gabriel was “graceful” and that the character’s future with him remains uncertain.
Season five focused on Emily managing operations at Agence Grateau in Rome and navigating her personal relationships and friendships, including her close bond with Mindy (Ashley Park).
