SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – Law enforcers from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday, visited the beach house of gaming operator Charlie “Atong” Ang in Barangay San Miguel, San Antonio, Zambales, to check his possible whereabouts as authorities continued the nationwide manhunt for him in connection with the “sabungeros” disappearance case, Mayor Arvin Antipolo said.

Antipolo said NBI agents arrived at Ang’s AA beach house in Sitio Caarosipan, Barangay San Miguel, and conducted a search of the premises but reported that they did not locate Ang in the property.

He said personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) had already been guarding and monitoring the AA beach house for several days before the NBI visit.

Antipolo said local officials in San Antonio coordinated with the NBI, PNP, and CIDG teams during their operations around the property to ensure security and compliance with legal procedures.

Police officials earlier said Ang remained the only suspect still at large among the 22 individuals whom authorities linked to the disappearance of several cockfighters, or “sabungeros,” in cases under investigation by national law enforcement agencies.

Authorities said they continued to track Ang’s possible movements in Zambales and other areas as part of ongoing efforts to enforce the outstanding warrants in the “sabungeros” cases.

Law enforcement officials said they would keep the AA beach house under watch as part of continuing monitoring of Ang’s assets and known locations in connection with the unresolved “sabungeros” disappearance cases.
