NBA’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander says family safe after home break-in

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City Thunder guard and reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander confirmed Sunday that he and his family are safe following a reported break-in at his Oklahoma City-area home last week.

The incident occurred while Gilgeous-Alexander was playing in a home game. Local authorities are investigating and have not released information about possible suspects or the extent of the property damage.

Gilgeous-Alexander said his family’s safety was his primary concern and expressed gratitude that no one was harmed. He also thanked fans and community members for their messages of support.
