The Indiana Pacers announced on Monday that Tyrese Haliburton suffered a torn right Achilles tendon during Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

The injury occurred early in the first quarter, forcing the All-NBA guard to leave the court with assistance and be escorted to the locker room by medical staff.

Haliburton’s injury is a major blow to the Pacers as he has been a key contributor to the team’s success this season.

His absence will impact the team’s plans moving into the offseason, with the organization needing to adjust its roster strategy accordingly.

The recovery timeline for a torn Achilles tendon is typically lengthy and uncertain, raising concerns about how soon Haliburton can return to full health and competition.

The Pacers have committed to providing updates on his condition as they receive more information. Haliburton’s injury represents a significant challenge for both the player and the franchise as they look ahead to the future.
