Philadelphia – The Los Angeles Lakers held off a late rally from the Philadelphia 76ers to win 112-108 on Sunday night, with LeBron James hitting a go-ahead three-pointer and finishing with 29 points, while Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double to anchor the victory.
The Lakers controlled much of the first half, moving the ball efficiently and converting both inside and from the perimeter. Philadelphia tightened their defense in the second half, cutting into the lead behind Joel Embiid, who tied the game at 105 with an 18-foot jumper late in the fourth quarter.
James immediately answered with a clutch three-pointer on the next possession, putting Los Angeles ahead for good. The Lakers protected the lead in the final minutes through key defensive rebounds, contested shots, and timely free throws.
Doncic’s all-around performance—contributing points, rebounds, and assists—kept the Lakers’ offense steady, while role players added crucial baskets and defensive stops. Philadelphia’s supporting cast tried to rally in the closing moments but could not overcome the combination of James’ clutch shooting and Doncic’s consistency.
