DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Mavericks and Kyrie Irving have agreed on a three-year contract worth $119 million, according to a person familiar with the deal.
The agreement with the All-Star guard, who is currently recovering from a torn ACL, was reached on Tuesday night.
Irving will miss playing time into the 2025-26 NBA season due to his injury.
Despite his injury, Irving decided to decline the $43 million player option for the final year of his previous contract.
The new contract aligns with the tenure of fellow NBA player Anthony Davis, with both players expected to return around the same time.
