Durant, a four-time scoring champion and four-time Olympic gold medalist, is part of a core that includes Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson. The Rockets said his experience and production support the team’s goal of building a contender.
The extension follows Houston’s effort to secure Durant after the multi-team trade.
