Kevin Durant signed a two-year contract extension with the Houston Rockets, the team announced, keeping him under contract through the 2027–28 NBA season.
Durant joined Houston in July in a seven-team trade and agreed to an extension valued at $90 million, which is below the maximum amount he was eligible to receive. Team officials said the deal aligns with the organization’s long-term plans.
Durant, a four-time scoring champion and four-time Olympic gold medalist, is part of a core that includes Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson. The Rockets said his experience and production support the team’s goal of building a contender.
The extension follows Houston’s effort to secure Durant after the multi-team trade.
