Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey will miss approximately 6 to 9 weeks following ankle surgery in early June, the team announced.

The surgery addressed laxity in Edey’s left ankle, which had caused him issues since an offseason workout. Edey is cleared to start ramping up basketball activities as part of his rehabilitation process.

The player is expected to return to the court in late November or early December. Edey’s absence marks a significant loss for the Grizzlies, given his status as a key player.

Team doctors are closely monitoring his recovery, and he will undergo regular evaluations to track his progress. Memphis Grizzlies’ medical staff remains optimistic about a timely recovery.

Edey has been a pivotal figure for the Grizzlies, contributing to their past successes. His return is anticipated with high expectations from both teammates and fans.
