PORTLAND, Oregon — The Portland Trail Blazers introduced Yang Hansen, a 7-foot-1 center from China, to the team and the city on Friday, June 27.

Hansen became a member of the Trail Blazers following his selection in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Blazers’ management sees Hansen as a unique and versatile talent, excited about his potential contributions to the team. Hansen’s high-end skillset, ability to pass, and basketball IQ are points of interest for the team, setting him apart as a valuable addition.

Hansen previously played for the Qingdao Eagles, where he made a significant impact with his playing stats. The Blazers acquired Hansen’s draft rights through trades, emphasizing the strategic importance they place on his future role within the team.

The introduction event took place at a press conference, attended by Yang Hansen and key figures from the Trail Blazers’ management, including Coach Chauncey Billups and General Manager Joe Cronin.
