Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has concluded his role as a Special Government Employee in the Trump administration.

During his tenure, Musk focused on proposing efficiency initiatives aimed at reducing federal expenditures.

He initially outlined a target of $2 trillion in budget reductions, although this target was not achieved.

His efforts reportedly included workforce reductions and policy proposals, which led to disagreements with other senior officials.

Over time, his involvement and influence within the administration diminished. Musk cited challenges related to federal bureaucracy as an obstacle during his time in the role.

With the conclusion of his government appointment, Musk has indicated that he will return his focus to managing his private-sector ventures, including Tesla and SpaceX.
