Mother, daughter found dead in Cypress; suspected murder-suicide

HOUSTON, Texas– Authorities began an investigation into a case of an apparent murder-suicide in Cypress, Texas on April 5, where a mother and her daughter were found dead. The incident occurred at a residence on Timber Crossing Lane, near Barker Cypress.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call and discovered the bodies of two women inside the home. The women were identified as a 76-year-old mother and her 50-year-old daughter. Both women were residents of the home.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez provided updates on the situation via social media. He confirmed that the preliminary investigation points to a murder-suicide.

The sheriff’s office has not released the identities of the individuals involved. It is standard practice to withhold names until family members are notified.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found the women with apparent gunshot wounds.
