MANILA — Michelle Dee’s legal team said Thursday they may seek an International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) red notice if a warrant of arrest is issued against social media personality Christian ‘Xian’ Gaza in connection with her cyber libel complaint.
Atty. Maggie Garduque, Dee’s counsel, filed a supplemental affidavit with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Cybercrime Division, explaining that Gaza, reportedly residing in Thailand, could be apprehended internationally if a red notice is requested. She noted Gaza also has a pending arrest warrant for syndicated estafa, making him eligible for an Interpol alert.
Dee filed the cyber libel complaint after allegedly false and malicious posts circulated on Facebook, claiming she had traveled abroad to avoid her legal cases and spreading other defamatory claims. Garduque emphasized that the posts were made with “actual malice,” strengthening Dee’s case.
The actress is also complying with an NBI subpoena related to separate allegations of physical injury and illegal detention linked to fellow actresses Rhian Ramos and Samantha Panlilio. Garduque confirmed she will appear before the NBI on Friday to represent Dee.
